A couple of months ago I began an alter ego of Quinton Love.
This is a fictitious account which I created on instagram.
Who’s bio reads:
Quintin Love is a leading entrepreneur and mentor who works with elite individuals who have had serious issues and trauma in their lives. Quinton spent 2 years in an induced coma after a car crash which nearly ended his life. He has faced death on several occasions and now spends his life waking people from their slumber to make sure they do something with their lives.
He has appeared on several American news stations and written for several publications including the Santa Cruz sentinel and the New York Times. He has also appeared on stage with the likes of Sir Richard Branson, Tony Robbins and David Beckham to name a few.

ALL YOU NEED IS Q LOVE
The idea behind this character was to substantiate my hypothesis that the mainstream no longer listen to mentors or people with credible histories or experience but instead seek validation and guidance from celebrities and Z list gate crashers.
Perhaps I’m generalising but there is some truth to it.
Quinton Love was a character intended to uncover the greed and consumption of society and to ultimately discover how many people would follow his advice and to what lengths they would go to to follow his advice.
I started by creating his account with a simple graphic and lettering and initials to give me an advantage for sending out unsolicited mentor junk and advice. I thought it was amusing to give him the surname Love. The character was initially called Sebastian Love or Quentin Love. I decided to research first to discover if these names were taken. To my surprise both were. The first being a comedy character from the show little Britain, the second was actually an established mentor and author of cookbooks for the soul!

To my surprise I was sent some messages to Q Loves account. One from an alI Indian gentleman and one from what appear to be from another mentor account.
